As the Process Engineering Manager, you will lead a dedicated group of engineers whose work directly affects the performance and reliability of treatment systems used across municipal and industrial applications. Compensation

  • Base salary range: $120,000 - $140,000 
  • Profit-sharing bonus (annual) - average between 3% and 4% of salary
  • Manager's incentive bonus (annual) - not guaranteed, but typically up to 6% of salary

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the Process Engineering group and oversee process design activities for a variety of treatment applications.

• Review project requirements, evaluate design needs and recommend suitable process systems.

• Support the Sales team by translating technical requirements into clear process guidance.

• Develop process flow diagrams and sizing information that support both internal records and performance commitments.

• Prepare and update documentation related to process requirements and operating procedures.

• Partner with Design Engineers to ensure accurate and consistent process designs across all projects.

• Maintain organized records of process decisions and project details for future reference.

• Conduct field testing to verify system performance and ensure reliability.

• Create calculations and process models that help guide company wide design standards.

• Train Sales teams, engineering staff and representatives to promote understanding of process concepts.

• Participate in customer presentations when technical expertise is required.

• Contribute to the development of new treatment concepts and product enhancements.

• Offer technical support to design, production and field service teams to ensure successful project execution.

• Assist with marketing initiatives by preparing technical content for literature, conferences and publications.

• Deliver presentations that enhance the company’s visibility within the environmental engineering community.

• Complete additional assignments as needed.


Qualifications

• Master's (with preference for PhD)

• At least five years of design experience, including direct work with wastewater process design.

• Previous supervisory experience is preferred.

• Wastewater plant operator certification is an advantage.

• Ability to perform analytical testing and evaluations within wastewater environments.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail.

• Effective written and verbal communication abilities, along with standard computer and interpersonal skills.


Physical Requirements

The role involves sitting, standing and walking. It also requires the ability to reach with arms and hands, communicate clearly in person and lift up to twenty-five pounds on occasion. The individual must be able to climb two flights of stairs. Some travel and extended work hours may be necessary.
