Application Engineer- Water Treatment Systems

Location: Southern California, on site. Remote consideration available for candidates based outside California

Compensation: Base salary range of $120,000 plus bonus potential

What You Will Do

You will support the technical and commercial development of filtration, membrane, and ozone based water treatment systems. Responsibilities include preparing detailed system designs, equipment specifications, and cost estimates tailored to customer needs. You will evaluate water quality data and operating requirements to recommend effective solutions.

You will serve as a trusted technical resource throughout the sales process, collaborating with internal engineering teams to ensure scope accuracy and technical alignment. You will contribute to proposal development, participate in technical presentations, and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing customers. You may also support product education efforts through presentations and technical training.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field preferred, with mechanical or environmental backgrounds strongly valued.
• Minimum of three years of experience in applications engineering, process engineering, or technical sales within water or wastewater treatment.
• Ability to interpret water quality data and system performance requirements to support solution development.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to varied audiences.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM tools; experience reviewing engineering drawings or using AutoCAD is a plus.
