Position Overview
Our client is an established manufacturer's representative and distribution organization serving municipal water and wastewater markets. The company partners with leading manufacturers to provide equipment, engineered solutions, and field service to customers across the project lifecycle.
The Branch Manager will lead the day-to-day operation and growth of the Alexander, Arkansas branch. This hands-on role combines sales and business development with technical involvement, branch operations, financial performance, and team leadership. It is well suited to an experienced water or wastewater professional ready to take broader ownership of a regional business while staying close to customers and projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Own branch P&L performance, annual budgeting, operational priorities, and accountability.
- Lead, support, and develop a small regional team of employees.
- Drive sales strategy, prospecting, business development, and regional growth.
- Build relationships with consulting engineers, municipalities, developers, excavators, plumbers, mechanical contractors, equipment manufacturers, and other industry partners.
- Support equipment applications, sizing, selection, proposals, and engineered solutions.
- Engage early in project planning and design to position appropriate equipment for specification and future procurement.
- Coordinate proposals, sales, deliveries, ordering, invoicing, and other branch activity with the corporate office.
- Represent the company at Arkansas water and wastewater trade shows and industry events.
Qualifications
- Approximately 5+ years of relevant water or wastewater experience, ideally in the municipal market.
- Industrial water and wastewater sales professionals interested in learning the municipal market are encouraged to apply.
- Strong technical sales and business development experience involving engineered equipment, treatment systems, pumps, distribution systems, or related infrastructure.
- Understanding of how projects move from engineering and design through specification, procurement, and installation.
- Experience working with consulting engineers, contractors, municipalities, developers, manufacturers, or similar stakeholders.
- Ability to understand equipment applications, sizing, selection, and project requirements.
- Leadership experience or demonstrated readiness to lead a team and assume financial responsibility.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Mechanical and electrical knowledge is preferred. Engineering credentials are beneficial but not required.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary of $90,000 to $120,000, depending on experience.
- Annual performance bonus, recently averaging approximately $15,000 to $20,000, based on branch and company performance.

Schedule and Travel
- Primarily regional travel with limited overnight requirements of approximately 10%.
- No routine weekend work and approximately two overnight industry events each year.

Standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Summer hours are Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Friday, 8:00 a.m. to noon.
