Senior Project Manager – Engineered Equipment Systems 

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina 

Compensation: $110,000 - $125,000 per year, plus 15% annual bonus

Employment Type: Full-time, on-site ($5k relocation assistance if outside Charlotte)

As Senior Project Manager, you will oversee the successful execution of multiple technical projects 

simultaneously, ensuring that quality, timelines, and budgets align with client and organizational goals. This

What You’ll Do 

• Manage all aspects of assigned projects, including budgets, schedules, and deliverables from initial 

design through installation. 

• Lead project planning efforts, including developing schedules with milestone payments and coordinating 

with engineering teams to meet deadlines. 

• Prepare submittal packages and interface directly with clients, consulting engineers, and vendors to 

obtain design approvals. 

• Maintain project documentation, including records, drawings, and communications to ensure traceability 

and compliance. 

• Serve as a key liaison between internal design, fabrication, and field service teams to ensure seamless 

project execution. 

• Coordinate vendor and contractor activities to align system design and performance expectations. 

• Visit project sites periodically for field measurements, installation reviews, and issue resolution. 

• Participate in product improvement initiatives by providing feedback and insights from field 

performance and client interactions. 


What You Bring 

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience). 

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred. 

• At least 15 years of combined project management and engineering experience, ideally within capital 

equipment, manufacturing, or infrastructure systems. 

• Proficiency in reviewing technical drawings and 3D models (SolidWorks preferred). 

• Strong understanding of mechanical equipment design principles. 

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and project management software tools. 

• Excellent communication, organization, and negotiation skills. 

• A proactive, detail-oriented approach with the ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously. 


Preferred Experience 

• Familiarity with fabrication processes such as bending, punching, and welding. 

• Experience with rotating equipment (shafts, gearboxes, bearings) or material handling systems 

(conveyors, bulk storage). 

• Exposure to municipal water or wastewater treatment environments. 

• Understanding of electrical, instrumentation, and controls systems. 

• Experience performing mechanical design calculations and using ERP software (Epicor or similar). 


Compensation and Benefits 

• Base salary range: $110,000-$125,000 annually 

• Performance Bonus: up to 15% (this encompasses quarterly and annual bonuses)
